| 06.12.08 | Friday night was probably the most nerve racking night we have encountered in a long time. It was the night of the Syracuse Area Music Awards (Sammy). The "Sammy Award" is the biggest award you can get in the cuse as a musician, there is nothing that compares to the honor you feel if you get one. Everyone Syracuse musician wants one, and if you're lucky.. you get one. As the well dressed presenters stood on stage and slowly opened the envelope all the nominated bands shook in anticipation for the name of their band to flow from the lips of the presenter. When suddenly hell froze over, or at least we think it did.. and the words "Torment The Vein" were broadcast over the PA speakers into a crowd of 1000 or so people.The sound of our fans and friends was deafening.. but sounded like it was in slow motion. With shaking weak legs we walked the uneven ground making our way to the stairs that lead up to the stage where we would give our thanks in a nervous childish tone, giddy, taken aback, Bewildered.. We were able to utter the names that were surrounded by the million or so thoughts that circled our brain. Anyway.. It is a huge honor.. and we are very thankful. We wanted to share our happiness with you, and give you the heads up.. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND DEDICATION TO US!!!! And if you haven't ordered your copy of "Faded Life"... GET IT! :) It's award wining.. find out why. And BTW. It is now available on iTunes. Thank you again for everything you do for us day in and day out. You are loved beyond what words can describe.
